'A Piece of Plaza' was installed for about two months in front of a community center in Yangjae-dong. It served as a symbolic plaza—posing questions about the neighborhood and gathering the thoughts of its residents. The installation, crafted directly by local residents, became a space that invited reflections from others, connecting the community through shared voices. It demonstrated the role of a plaza: a place where people encounter others, recognize their community, share thoughts, and form public discourse.

In an age where so much happens online, this project aimed to create a physical plaza—built with our own hands and filled with our own thoughts—one that exists before our eyes and can be touched with our hands.

'A Piece of Plaza' was part of the Mindful Salon program, organized as a part of the Yangjaecheon-gil Local Brand Development Project, in collaboration with Edit City Project.
