We were responsible for the spatial design of a ceremony held to encourage students preparing for the Suneung.

The space was composed with a restrained aesthetic, in harmony with the shrine’s inherent sense of calm and order. Soft pastel tones were used as subtle accents, and words of encouragement were placed throughout the space to gently convey support. White lanterns, carrying the wishes of parents, were used to allow their heartfelt hopes to appear in their purest form. As these lanterns gathered, they filled the space, creating a scene in which individual prayers came together as a collective presence. Some of the lanterns were adorned with handwritten messages and drawings by members of the Sadang 5-dong Calligraphy Club, adding warmth and a sense of communal encouragement.

Through this space, we hoped that visitors would find a moment of quiet reflection, and that their shared emotions—intertwined and resonant—might offer gentle comfort and strength.
